Abstract

An external evaluation of FI3T was conducted by a team from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI consistent with expectations of the funding agency, the National Science Foundation. The focus of the evaluation was on determining worth, value, and merit of the project. The evaluation included both formative and summative evaluation elements, with the evaluation team collaborating with the project management team. A multi-method design was used to assess this multi-faceted faceted project. The FI3T evaluation has direct application in most grant-funded projects.
