Assessing information literacy development (ILD) of undergraduates becomes more important for universities to confirm their efforts in helping students to cope with challenges in information age. We suggest ILD construct concept of behavior of using IT in academic activities, perception on institution emphasis on using IT, and proficiency of using IT. The concept was tested using survey data from college students. Results from reliability and construct validity suggest that the ILD construct is rational. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2014.
