Abstract

In this paper, we propose a fast barrier synchronization protocol for broadcast networks. A key point of the protocol is to reduce the performance degradation by introducing a dynamic control of shared bus accesses. The proposed method is implemented on actual LAN and is compared with several protocols implemented in GAMMA system.
