Abstract

We investigate on the automated construction of terminologies from assertions in an expressive Description Logics representation like ALC. The overall unsupervised learning problem is decomposed into smaller supervised learning problems once clusters of disjoint concepts are detected. In turn, these problems are solved by means of refinement operators1. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2004.
