This article exposes an experience to implementing mobile technologies in the learning of Mathematics and examines the role that mobile phones can play to evaluate the teaching-learning process at University. Smartphones are proposed to introduce in class interactive questionnaires as formative assessment activities. The article analyses its implementation, focusing on the characteristics of the quizzes and the tools used. The opinion of the students about the experience shows some practical implications of this proposal like motivation to work in class, strengthening mathematical skills and improvement of learning process. The confirmation of these educational benefits and the positive attitudes of students reflect that mobile phones can be used in a useful way in Higher Education.
