During the practice of breastfeeding, mothers sometimes encounter obstacles that create a dilemma of breastfeeding. A mother who gives birth to a premature baby breastfeeding is something that is not easy to do because the baby who is born prematurely is not able to suck milk from the mother's breast, but he still needs breast milk for growth and development. This makes the initial breastfeeding process neglected and of course it will be even more difficult to do. Based on a report from the East Jakarta Health Office in 2018, only 28.3% of premature babies receive breastfeeding exclusively. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the application of exclusive breastfeeding to mothers who give birth to premature babies. Specific targets in this study are mothers who successfully apply exclusive breastfeeding and found factors that influence the application of exclusive breastfeeding and provide solutions to factors that hinder the application of exclusive breastfeeding so that they can contribute to increasing the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in East Jakarta. This research is qualitative in nature. The treatment of researchers was inform of theassistance to mothers who have babies with a maximum age of 4 months and only breastfeeding. Assistance is carried out until the baby is 6 months of age by making visits approximately 2-3 times. The results showed that the researcher saw a very good commitment from the informants to be able to apply exclusive breastfeeding so that until the last visit to the main informant, the baby was still exclusively breastfed, even though there were external influences on formula feeding and complementary breastfeeding.
