Abstract

As the micro reactor has the characteristics of time varying and time delay, minimum variance adaptive temperature control method should be used on micro reactor. By estimating the parameters online by recursive least squares, we use this result in the calculation of generalized minimum variance controller in the current period. Act the control variable on the time varying system and use the system output temperature, then an adaptive control cycle is generated. The experimental results show that the proposed (minimum variance adaptive) controller has the characteristic of good adaptability and robust capability, no static error, linear heating up, anti-interference and no overshoot, and it can meet the expected requirement. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
