Abstract

The article focuses on the science of sound in a musical context for students to understand the relationship between music and discipline outside the arts. It offers great sites to get started including galaxy.net, the Franklin Institute's Sound site, and another sponsored by IBM Corp. The sites explain various topics from the human ear mechanics to the significance of Doppler effect in music.
