Abstract

One method to verify IMRT fields larger than the maximum area that detector arrays can measure is by merging the different parts of the fields in multiple exposures. In this case, the measured dose is less than expected performance because of the lack of side-scatter volume. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate this dosimetric effect. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
