Abstract

WT is an 81-year-old female who presents to the emergency department with a chief complaint of left hip pain after falling down during a syncopal episode. The patient is an independent ambulatory, community dweller who denies any other injuries or pain. On primary survey, she demonstrates a GCS of 15, a patent airway, and is hemodynamically stable. On secondary survey, no gross deformities of her left lower extremity are noted.
