Abstract

A Best Companion Cluster (BCC) user terminal (UE) feedback scheme for Multi-User Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MU-MIMO) pairing is proposed in this paper. With this scheme, one UE should feedback both a preferred Precoding Matrix Index (PMI) and a cluster index with least interference to it. The system level simulation results show that this scheme can make a reasonable tradeoff between feedback overhead and throughput, especially when the system load is not so heavy. © Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2010.
