Abstract

This paper develops a measurement system that can efficiently gauge an end-user information competency in an information environment. The validity and reliability of the developed tool construct was verified by factor analysis and reliability analysis through a pilot test. The application and utilization of the measurement system designed with a developed tool was confirmed by applying it to measurement of the information competency of end-users in an enterprise and presenting their measurement results. © 2008 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
