Abstract

Increasing carbon dioxide levels in the Earth's atmosphere, due largely to the combustion of fossil fuels and deforestation, is almost certainly causing changes in the Earth's climate. For the world's oceans, the effects of climate change include increases in sea temperature, increases in sea level and a reduction of sea-ice.
