Abstract

It is important to note that, in this report, ASD was not only approached from a treatment perspective but that special emphasis was put upon dignified participation in society. In our country this accounts not only for individuals with ASD, but to all individuals, as our society is moving from a compassionate supportive society to a society where all are expected to take responsibility for their own functioning and place in society. In parallel with this, the central government is gradually handing over the organization of care delivery to local authorities and communities. The government no longer automatically takes care of citizens in need but encourages them to organize and coordinate their own support. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2017 APA, all rights reserved)
