We presented in this paper the results of archaeological research developed in recent years by GRAP, University of Barcelona, in the territories of the Sénia River, located between Catalonia and Valencia. Advances permit us to explain the settlement pattern in the area of the mouth of the river during the Early Iron Age. We infer from this study that fi ve sites were part of a political-territorial entity, which we have called "Complex Sant Jaume". We also propose the existence of a hierarchical relationship between the settlements.
