Abstract

The kidney transplant can be a definitive treatment for persons living with a chronic kidney disease. During the transplant process is quite important the nursing care on all the states in which the patients and his/her families are involved. This article is a biography story that narrates the experience of a nurse working in a transplant program in Colombia. She describes the different aspects for taking into account during the process, especially, the relationship with the working team, with the patients and the families. Throughout her story, she talks about the job experience and the feelings implicated in her daily life into the program, as well, her opinion concerning the future of the transplant nursing care.
