Abstract

Despite the advanced possibilities of our age, people may show a tendency towards product production, usage techniques and communication techniques that are far from all necessities, whether nostalgic or not. There are still common unnecessary interactions such as pen pals and lighting candles. People form an emotional bond with such issues. In addition, there are technological tools such as VR and Metaverse that directly transfer the real environment to the virtual environment. The fact that technology, which provides opportunities for the individual in every way, does not make people forget the old methods is a situation worth discussing. This situation is a situation in which the person establishes an emotional connection in the psychological, sociological and biological context and has taken place in design as an area of emotional design. It is an issue that can be examined in more than one subject such as personal preferences, globalization, art, design, experience design, fashion, industrialization and culture. In addition, the following questions remain relevant: How much more can our mental model adapt to the digital world? Are we ergonomically prone to this? Digitization increases freedom, but does it increase originality and productivity? Does digitalization in communication connect or divide us? In this study, it is desired to examine the orientation to physicality and physical objects in the digitalized world. The issue of usability of digital and analog techniques in art and design can also be included in the study.
