Abstract

In today's business evolution, it is very important for companies to gain a competitive advantage over their competitors by implementing a supplier-managed inventory system (Vendor Management Inventory/VMI). Enterprise-managed VMI strategy can work with suppliers who prioritize long-term collaboration to increase the profitability of strategic assets. VMI systems can provide products that are cost effective, high quality, and fast to market. By implementing a VMI strategy, it can help companies in terms of inventory management so they can ensure th at the goods sold are always properly recorded for consumption and sale. With this, an inventory adjustment strategy is also planned for the company to further increase the company's profitability. This VMI system can also be used to test the effect of inventory on a company's competitive strategy. VMI method strategy that has been implemented can reduce waiting time from ordering materials so that safety stock can also be reduced and the impact can reduce inventory level costs by up to 252 Thousand Euros o r down by 8.7% compared to before.
