Abstract

Smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method can deal with a larger deformation problem under the Lagrange framework, especially for simulating extend of cracks, so it shows its advantage gradually in investigating effect of blast. For the blast in the concrete, detonation wave model and dynamics model of concrete were established, and the SPH method was adopted to research the damage effect of concrete by TNT blast, which widens SPH method for study of blasting in a confined medium, and provide an important way to evaluate the damage effect of blast in the concrete. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
