Abstract

With the continuous improvement of people's living standard and lifestyle, the product with only basic features cannot meet people's needs, therefore the designers have pay more attention to humanize design and the spiritual and cultural need. This trend prompted the companies of the design of product innovation, appearance, ergonomics, etc. refer to a new height when proceed with new product development for small home appliances, adhere to the concept of people-oriented, take full account of the psychological and physiological aspects, realize humane design through the product's shape, color and function, and give users a better use experience. This article described the application of computer-aided ergonomics in the design of small household electrical appliances in detail and guide the develop direction of small household electrical appliances in the future. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
