When most people think of hydrogen fuel cells, they think about cars, but the California-based Jadoo Power Systems is coming up with applications on a much smaller scale, with products that replace cumbersome rechargeable batteries. Hydrogen fuel cells work using a simple electrochemical process that has no polluting by-products. Currently Jadoo's fuel cells are marketed toward broadcasting, military, and emergency responder use, but the company envisions its product line expanding to include household uses.
