Abstract

Erosion and cavitation are threatening the structural integrity of the concrete embankment along the coast line of Taiwan. Task force is formed to investigate the embankment deterioration. Images of subsurface anomaly have been obtained based on the data coming from different techniques. The techniques applied include ground penetration radar, infrared thermography, and impact-echo method. The results are in good agreement among cross-sectional radar images, thermal images, and normalized impact-echo spectrum measurements. © RILEM 2013.
