Relationship between Shift Work and Work Stress In the Inpatient Room Nurse At Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital. Work stress in Indonesia continues to increase every year which shows that work stress experienced by Indonesian nurses is 50.9%. One of the causes of work stress is the work environment and work shift arrangements. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between shift work and stress nurses in the inpatient room of Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital. This research method is quantitative which is observational analytic with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling totaling 118 nurses. The research instrument was a questionnaire, statistical test analysis using the Chi Square test. The results of this study showed that most of the nurses worked in appropriate shifts, namely as many as (70.3%) nurses and almost half experienced moderate work stress, namely as many as (48.3%) nurses. Based on the results of the chi square test it shows significance with a p-value of 0.031 < ɑ 0.05. There is a relationship between work shifts and work stress in inpatient nurses at Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital, so that male and female nurses are expected to build good care and cohesiveness between head nurses, heads of rooms, fellow nurses and patients so that patient problems can be resolved and the need for collaboration between nurses and doctors to provide sufficient information regarding the patient's condition..
