Abstract

The subject of the paper is the study of the data derived from Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) system while paying special attention to the traffic analysis nearby the measurement point. The attempt is to determine the changes and tendencies in drivers’ behaviour and the traffic density based on the data delivered by the devices of dynamic weighing system. Frequent traffic flow analysis is necessary to identify the trends in road traffic, dangerous phenomena and to effective management of the transportation politics, traffic organization and road network planning. The dynamic weighing systems can be the source of complex information about the traffic conditions on the communication route due to continuity and the range of measurements.
