The rise of theft makes homeowners anxious about the security that might occur in their homes. In addition, theft in the house occurs because there are opportunities that provide convenience in committing theft, one of which is the door of the house in an unlocked condition. This research aims to build a microcontroller-based prototype controlled by an application on the homeowner's Android smartphone and further equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, PIR sensor, door lock solenoid, LED, buzzer, and GSM / GPRS module. Using the research and development method through literature study data collection techniques. The results are in the form of a prototype that has a way of working starting from the homeowner sending commands via SMS sent by the application on the homeowner's cellphone, which then the command is executed and the microcontroller sends an SMS in the form of system status. The PIR sensor is used to detect movement on the door. When there is movement, the system sends notifications to the homeowner's cell phone and the environment around the house by activating the buzzer and LED. In addition, the system performs automatic door locking after the door has been open for 10 minutes. It can help homeowners provide home security protection and prevent the owner's carelessness when forgetting to lock the door.
