Abstract

In recent years, the quality requirement of power supply has been significantly increased in smart grid industry. As most of the current substations are in an unattended or under-represented state, it is difficult for us to detect the defect of power equipment and other potential safety hazards in time. To solve this problem, we propose an intelligent interactive system based on patrol robots which have multi-source perceptions. Our proposed system consists of three main parts: a Backstage Management System that is designed for data analysis, image processing, automatic alarms and scheduling optimization; an automatic Patrol Robot System that is capable of path planning, image recognition and speech signal processing; and finally a Communication System which enables communication between human and robots, as well as the cooperation between different patrol robots.
