Abstract

This chapter promptly addresses two methods that are often used in forestry extension. While the training lecture, which is not a participatory method per se, is raised from a horizontal perspective, planning aspects are listed as well as the conduction of workshops - which are emblematic within a participatory approach - that should be considered to achieve a successful implementation of this work method. Lastly, steps and crucial aspects for the development for preparing printed educational materials are presented.
