Abstract

The dielectric constant of the dispersion, in which spherical particles of dielectric constant ε1 are dispersed in a medium of dielectric constant ε0, has been worked out theoretically without employing Wiener’s proportionality postulate. The following equation has been derived for the relation between the dielectric constant ε of the dispersion and the volume fraction φ of the disperse phase.(Remark: Graphics omitted.)Where c=1−4π/9√3
