Abstract

In the development of the conceptual engineering design phase, it isessential to raise new ideas of solutions. The postgraduate creativitycourse named: ``Creative formation in the innovation of products orservices{''} given at: ``Fundacio UPC{''} of Technical University ofCatalonia (UPC) in Barcelona, helps the students to increase theircompetence to raise and manage the creativity. The course has two mainmodules; the first gives a general view of creativity training while thesecond aims to apply this creativity in a company and understand theinnovation processes. Generally speaking the course is mainly addressedto engineers and technicians with some R+D+I responsibilities forconceptual product design in a company. This paper shows the courseexperience and its evolution, and also addresses some creativitytechniques that are grouped by similar aspects of mental processesinvolved. These aspects are ordered by the degree of conscience tounconscious mind.
