Abstract

Supply chain finance is a concept and a financing arrangement that involves all enterprise members along a supply chain. The core value of a supply chain is found in its ability to make loans available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which occurs through supply chain financial services. This chapter discusses the origin and history of supply chain finance, and, also, the basic business models, development prospects, and associated risk prevention strategies. The innovation model and the risk control of supply chain finance will be discussed in detail through a case study of a contemporary supply chain finance network platform.
