Abstract

Ewing sarcoma (ES) is a rare tumor that most often occurs in adolescents and young adults. This review discusses the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of localized and metastatic ES, with an emphasis on the care of adolescent and young adult patients. The pathobiology is reviewed. Particular attention is given to recent and current clinical trials, and an introduction to future directions for therapy of ES is provided.
