Abstract

Literature on civil society and transitional justice remains rather limited in focus and shape. A number of scholars have examined the role of civil society in the proliferation of justice norms and institutions at th einternational level and the politics of international justice in the socities to which it has been addressed. On the other hand there is a body of literature which comprises national case studies and theoretical explanations of civil society and transitional justice in relation to the state.
