Abstract

Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone with a broad extensive range of therapeutic indications. Fluoroquinoles may induce neurologic adverse reactions in approximately 1-4% of patients. It is described two patients with central nervous system adverse reactions associated with oral ciprofloxacin treatment. One patient had an episode of psychomotor agitation and other an episode of rest tremor, which resolved after ciprofloxacin discontinuation.
