Domain decomposition algorithms have become popular in solving the Helmholtz equation since Després’ seminal paper [3]. Although it is known that the presence of overlaps helps to speed up the convergence for domain decomposition methods, nonoverlapping based methods are often used to avoid dealing with the construction of the normal derivative of the solution.
