Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the involvement of human resources at the Mengwi sub-district office in calling for goals. To achieve organizational goals can be realized by managing human resources through efforts to increase job satisfaction. Satisfaction can be influenced by work-life balance and work motivation in employees. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to analyze the role of motivation in mediating the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction. This research was conducted at the District Office of Mengwi District. The population in this study were all civil servants in the Mengwi sub-district office, as many as 51 civil servants. Sampling used the saturated sample method. Collecting data by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique is a path analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, Work motivation plays a role positive and significant in mediating work-life balance on job satisfaction. The suggestion for this research is that the Mengwi Sub-District Head Office should re-evaluate the workload given to its employees, provide working hours in accordance with government regulations with the 8-hour working period and provide regular and effective training or training.
