Abstract

It is of great significance to take into account the atmospheric environment influence of land use in coal city because air pollution is dominant in the whole environmental pollution. In this paper, the spatial assessment result maps of air pollution diffusion in Zoucheng County were achieved firstly with the help of Matlab and ArcGIS software and the application of air pollution Chronic Multi-sources Diffusion (CMD) assessment model created on the basis of fan-shaped chronic average concentration calculated method and Gaussian diffusion model,. Then the Land Use Planning (LUP) environmental influence based on the air pollution CMD in coal city was analyzed with GIS overlay analysis tool. The results indicated that (1) the planning construction land including highway and railway layout was environmentally rationally located in Zoucheng area especially taking SD diffusion into consideration as a whole; (2) however, the aggravation of SO2 diffusion concentration should not neglectd in the implementation of the construction land layout planning in the future; (3) the LUP environmental impact assessment (LUPEA) could be implemented with the help of remote-sensing (RS) technique, GIS technologies and numerical computation method, which would give much more emphasis on geographic information science research as well. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
