US Long-Term Research Network (USLTER),which regards data sharing as one of its basic policies, has been striving to develop an effective information management system. In recent years, USLTER is actively involved in the development of new ecological informatics technologies and information infrastructures based on metadata that enable the efficient integration of accumulated data for synthesis and comparative studies.
