Abstract

The regions continually carry out various internationalization activities, becoming a globalization strategy and enabling paradiplomacy in public management. The present investigation was developed with the objective of proposing an internationalization strategy for a specific territory and in this way contribute to its economic development, increase social welfare, employment generation and the development of the regions. For this, a descriptive qualitative approach is presented with the intention of providing depth of data, interpretative richness and contextualization of the object of study. In addition, the management of the administration, foreign investment and territorial marketing were reviewed in the territories, in order to verify the best ways of how the territories should implement their international actions in terms of goods and services, to encourage business internationalization and the investment attraction. Among the results of the research, the strategies of Regiobalidad and Smart Regions are suggested, creating in each one of them abilities to promote the international visibility of the territory. It is concluded that the internationalization strategy of the territory must have a clear public orientation, defined from the profile of the region, which covers all the ways in which the territories can internationalize.
