Abstract

An overview of positron annihilation spectroscopy, the experimental techniques and its application to studies on defects and electronic structure of materials is presented. The scope of this paper is to present the requisite introductory material, that will enable a better appreciation of the subsequent specialised articles on the applications of positron annihilation spectroscopy to investigate various problems in materials science. © Meshap Science Publishers.
