Abstract

In contrast to the relatively abrupt hormonal changes that occur during female menopause, male reproductive function gradually declines during the aging process, and it is difficult to advise couples on the magnitude of the potential risks of late fatherhood. The chapter aims to support evidence-based counseling of the older father-to-be with regard to the risks and benefits of reproduction.
