Abstract

This chapter reviews invasive cancers using both the molecular classification of subtypes of breast cancer and the traditional pathologic classification of breast cancers. MRI is a frequently used modality for evaluating breast cancer. Tumors demonstrate varying morphologic and enhancement characteristics depending on tumor type. Knowledge of the MRI appearance of various tumors is helpful for expanding the differential diagnosis.
