The micro-injection of plastics is currently the technology with the greatest future potential development for the manufacture of plastics components weighing less than 1 g and with tolerances in the range of 10–100 microns, thus allowing complicated geometries and high surface quality. This chapter presents, from an industrial perspective, the potentialities and main limitations of the technology, critically discussing the aspects related to design and simulation, machines and equipment and applications.
