Abstract

Climate literacy is the ability to make responsible decisions and present solutions to climate change problems based on a scientific understanding of the climate system and climate change. Climate literacy skills can indicate support for climate action, which is Goal 13 of the SDGs. Climate Literacy is also essential for realising climate change education (CCE). Not only playing a role in education, but climate literacy can also improve people's mitigation and adaptation abilities to climate change. This fact was obtained based on the results of a literature review published in the Scopus database for 2015 to 2022. Data were analysed using bibliometrics with the aim of identifying trends in scientific publications of climate literacy, Identifying the network connection between authors, institutions, and countries in related publications of climate literacy, and understanding the structure and thematic focus of climate literacy. Based on data analysis related to the keyword climate literacy, it is hoped that it can provide information about the needs of climate change research, especially its role in education, disaster risk reduction/mitigation, and adaptation measures to climate change conditions.
