Abstract

Logical atomism is defined here as the theory that the only truth-makers required for all truths are those that make logically simple propositions true. The theory is only correct if there are no special truth-makers for negative, connectively conjoined, general (quantified), modal, statistical, probabilistic and nomological propositions. The paper defends the view for these kinds of proposition in turn.
