Abstract

Acute myocardial infarction without obstruction of the coronary arteries is uncommon. The clinical course of a 32 year old patient with documented acute inferior and anterior wall infarctions is described. Selective coronary arteriography performed 23 months later revealed no obstruction of the coronary arteries angiographically. Probable pathologic mechanisms are discussed.
