Abstract

Microdermabrasion is a simple and safe, effective cosmetic procedure. It is used for improvement of photoaging, hyperpigmentation, acne, scars, and stretch marks. Mild benefit occurs when Microdermabrasion is utilized for photoaging. Various crystals and non-crystals for abrasion are described. The author discusses indications and contraindications as well as the technique of performing microdermabrasion.
