Text Mining Tools: Evaluation Methods and Criteria

Abstract

This paper attempts to present the main axes of the comparative analysis of text mining tools that will be performed in the framework of the NEMIS project. To this end we present the suggested methodology for comparing software tools based on general evaluation criteria and we explain which are our expectations from this survey. Finally based on the proposed methodology, we present and compare two text mining tools, which completely different applications.
