Abstract

This research aims to deliver more indication on information technology (IT) governance and its relationship with firm performance in emergenMarketplaces. The objective is mainly to clarify the role of IT governance in GCC firms; it, as well, seeks to analyze the effect of IT governance on the firm performance. The investigators have applied the IT-connected qualifications of the participants of the board of directors as a guide of IT governance. The investigators have also utilized an additional unit of corporate governance guides in addition to a setting of control variables. The performance of firms has been described as the operating performance which is characterized as Return on Assets (ROA) and the financial performance as the Return on Equity (ROE).
