Abstract

This paper reports an experience of a development strategy for the industrial area of Tito (PZ) in the Basilicata Region in southern Italy, which represents a primary node of the industrial infrastructure of Basilicata. The main actor in this activity is represented by the Society of Industrial Production Areas of Basilicata (Api-Bas), which organized extensive and inclusive consultations with all possible stakeholders. This strategy is based on a combination of many factors that can entice entrepreneurs to invest resources in the Tito industrial area. The main elements of this strategy can be synthesized into tax incentives, special economic zones (ZES) resources, Next-generation Eu funding, and the Italian national recovery and resilience plan (PNRR). The project aims to digitize all aspects of contracting completely. The Api-Bas Territorial Information System has been fully realized in a GIS (Geographic Information System) environment, enabling the quick implementation of all procedures.
