Abstract

The piezoelectric pressure sensor technology has been developed for many years and it shows broad possibilities of using this technology in development of smart wearables for heart rate monitoring. The project goal was to explore the possibility to use the pressure sensor technology in Pregnancy Care. The focus of this project was to come up with concepts of a product that can be used by pregnant women to monitor fetal heartbeat in home-based context, and to explore different ways of representation and visualization of real data.
